Wednesday

Another day, another work day. Tasks today consisted of sanding and priming the ceiling, removing the dried mud from the floor, working on the upstairs rooms, and spray painting the ceiling. Picture captions tell the story.

Sanding was dirty work. For the picture on the left, the lens had dust on it. It was dusty, but the pieces were not quite that large. Ben looks like a character from Mad Max Road Movie.

On the left: The Thai workers are putting up some roof structure. In order to get access, they built a bamboo scaffolding. It is quite strong and stable. On the right: Randy is in the ceiling spray painting the beams and the roof black. He does have a safety harness on.

Both on the downstairs floor and the floors of the upstairs rooms, the mud that dried on the floor had to be removed. It was hard, tedious work.

We had steamed Tilapia for lunch. The cooks were happy to show me the fish as they were cleaning them. After lunch, it's usual for some people to take a nap. Today, Anders was the nap time monitor.

Tom’s friend Nam Hom on the left and her mother Dow and her baby brother (one of a set of twins).
