Thursday

Good news on the prayer front. Aie’s dad came home from the hospital and came to the camp to see his dogs. Here he is with Aie getting some lunch. And, the blood tests on Aie’s daughter came back normal. She is still fighting the fever, but is feeling better and does not have Dengue fever. Thanks for the prayers.

The work yesterday was focused on:

  • Finishing the ceiling to prepare it for tape and mud on the seams.
  • Painting a wall.
  • Digging a hole. Well, at least Kurt and I started digging a hole. After 90 minutes, we were about 8 inches deep digging through very hard clay mixed with rocks. It was 95+ degrees and sunny. Needless to say we were hot. We took a break and Randy asked the locals what it would cost to have them dug. The answer was about $50. We decided to not try anymore <grin>.
  • Putting mud on the rooms upstairs.

Nap time after lunch

We quit working at 3:30 and went to a place on river where you could raft, tube, play in the water, eat, and just hill out. It was a wonderful respite from the heat the work.
